Turn over a new leaf with UNBC Continuing Studies

Okay, so it has basically become common knowledge that UNBC is Canada’s Green University, and we are darn proud of it! But, what you may not know is that UNBC’s very own Continuing Studies department is also spreading environmental awareness and sustainability through their new online programming.

Not only does UNBC Continuing Studies offer students a way to expand their professional development in business, but we also offer a ton of environmental-related courses and certificates. This isn’t actually a new thing – the Continuing Studies department has been offering a variety of these green educational opportunities for quite some time. Whether you want to learn about the economics of a renewable energy project, building resource roads in wetlands or even wildlife monitoring – we’ve got you covered!

We can also get you certified! Take for instance the Environmental Monitoring Certificate – teaching you everything you need to get your designation as a professional Environmental Monitor, over the duration of 10 accelerated modules. This certificate offers courses ranging from topics of bear awareness, erosion and sediment control practices and environmental conservation and sustainability.

Don’t forget that you can also have a blast with our experiential tourism courses too! The Continuing Studies department has designed innovative experiential curriculums to get students out of the classroom and into the northern wilderness. UNBC Continuing Studies wants you to take your environmental studies to the next level by enrolling in our exciting Ghost town adventure tours and Jet Boat Photography.

Say what!? – UNBC Continuing Studies has just announced that we now offer the Environmental Monitoring Certificate ONLINE! This means that all you need is web access and a computer to independently complete your Environmental Monitoring educational aspirations from anywhere in the world!
